After a very quiet Christmas in 2020, More Harmony are thrilled to have had our busiest festive season ever, this year!  Whilst there may have been some nods to the current situation - with singers masks worn at indoor performances and lots more outdoor singing than usual for this chilly time of year - we're pleased to say that the bells have been jingling and the festive purple capes are well and truly back!

Our festivities began in early November, with the start of our three-week "We Wish You A Merry Singmas" course.  Our course attendees learned vocal technique, performance skills and more, whilst getting to grips with two classics: Do You Hear What I Hear? and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.  This all culminated in a concert for family and friends, where our new singers put everything they'd learned to the test - and passed with flying colours!  More Harmony pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming chorus and this was brought into focus beautifully after the concert, when all of our course attendees announced that they want to join properly in the new year.  We can't wait!

We've been singing all over the place throughout December, from the annual Late Night Shopping event in Wadebridge, to Trago Mills' Winter Wonderland!  We even took part in a Christmas Trail at Harlyn Sands Holiday Park, singing in front of one of the most beautiful views imaginable.  That evening, we sang on stage in the clubhouse and several of us stayed for a sleepover in one of the park's caravans.  Board games were played and mulled wine was enjoyed!

As always, More Harmony have been raising money for a good cause at several of our festive performances, with more than £200 being raised for Samaritans of Cornwall so far over the Christmas season.  We are thrilled to have made so much for a cause we really believe in and we are hugely grateful to everyone who has been so generous whilst we've been out and about with our collection buckets.

With our chorus Christmas meal taking place on December 16th, it's time for us to rest our voices over the next couple of weeks (honest!) before we return to Wadebridge Ambulance Hall on January 6th, refreshed and ready to get cracking on some new songs and some old favourites.  If you'd like to be there, drop us a line and we'll be delighted to welcome you!  Until then, stay safe everyone and have a wonderfully merry Christmas.
